When I was first approached to work with MadeGood Foods, I jumped at the chance. Having food allergies myself, I know the importance of bringing these foods to light. Below you'll find my thoughts on MadeGood Allergy Friendly Foods as a whole and where you can buy these tasty treats.
I'll be honest with you, when I realized I had numerous food allergies - I was a bit nervous. What could I eat? Am I going to have to meal prep? Where could I eat? How was my body going to react to, well, anything? I had a ton of questions. Too many to even mention here. But as I started doing my research I realized 1) I wasn't alone and 2) there are a ton of options for people with food allergies like myself. Everything from eating paleo, to trying the keto diet, to just being more cognizant of what I put in my body, to making minor dietary tweaks here and there. But, as I've realized, there are just some things for which you can't find a good alternative. Until I found out about MadeGood Foods.
Here is a snippet from their website describing why they exist:
"MadeGood® is our family business and passion, and the inspiration came out of our life-long relationship with healthy food. We set out to build a company that was an extension of our family. Having an enjoyable place to work is important and is key to our success . . . Our customers trust us to provide their families with safe, great tasting products with exceptional nutrition. We manufacture in our nut-free facility and our products are free from most common allergens, are organic, and contain nutrients equivalent to a serving of vegetables."
After reading that, I was sold. The fact that their mission is to deliver delicious snacks to families who suffer from various food allergies is incredibly noble, and difficult. To develop the products has to be one thing, but to stand out in what seems like such a saturated allergy-friendly market must make things that much harder. That's why I want to do whatever I can to help them stand out because I've found out through trial and error - a lot of error - that many of these allergy-friendly foods just don't taste good.
That's where MadeGood Foods stands out. Their foods actually taste good - and don't throw my body into a hizzy just because I took a bite of something that is going to ruin my day. They've concocted something delicious and you all need to know about it!
To give a little back-story, MadeGood Foods Granola Minis & Bars are made in a facility free from the 8 common allergens: Peanut, Tree Nut, Wheat, Dairy, Egg, Soy, Sesame and Fish. That means, essentially, these high quality snacks are perfect for anyone who suffers from various food allergies. Suffering from a litany of food allergies myself, I knew their snacks were a no-brainer for me. I can't tell you how many times I've bought something at the grocery store, only to come home and eat it and then 20 minutes later be doubled over in pain wishing I hadn't A) spent the money on this new snack and B) eaten it in the first place. I'm sure most people with food allergies or those who've tried an elimination diet can relate.
MadeGood Foods also contain organic, gluten free, Non-GMO project verified ingredients and provide the nutrients in one full serving of vegetables from six different sources. This was a huge surprise - and delight - for me as I don't often eat a ton of vegetables unless they come in my Daily Harvest shakes that I drink. Be warned, though. If you suffer from any sort of reaction to nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, etc.), these snacks may not be the best for you as they can be found in MadeGood Foods various products.
As I give the final few blows to this dead horse, MadeGood Foods are delicious. They taste great, don't cause me to have unwanted reactions, and are available locally at places like Whole Foods, Walmart, and Lunds/Byerly's. They're easily accessible snacks the whole family will love and, best of all, make you feel good. And hey, shouldn't all food make you feel good?
Available at hundreds of healthy food chain stores across the USA – MadeGood Foods granola snacks and mini bites are perfect for kids school lunches. Our granola bars and minis are a nutritious choice with a full serving of nutrients from six vegetable sources, and are a healthy, and organic choice which are free from the 8 common allergens.
